A little boy having a pee, a giant model of a molecule and fabulously grand main square are what is usually associated with the city to be identified from the distorted photograph last week. The monument is rarely pictured in the brochures and guidebooks but is nevertheless an imposing piece of architecture. It is the Cinquantenaire Triumphal Arch in Brussels.
Although the figures on top of the archway led some to identify it as Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate most people who answered correctly identified the city as Brussels. Congratulations to Atul (@pixodentist), Tim (@timofnewbury), Jacqui (@JackiesJourneys), Davide (@travelling_dave) and Steven (@AirwaysFoodie) who all identified the city correctly.
This week’s distorted photograph shows a rather distinctive and well known skyline seen from a slightly different angle.
