The white structure in the twisted photograph last week was probably the biggest clue with the buildings playing a secondary role. The photograph in its undistorted form shows a suspension bridge of a type seen in only a few cities worldwide. None though are quite like the Erasmusbrug, nor do they have the same style of skyscrapers beside them. The city is Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
Congratulations to Atul (@pixodentist), Tim (@timofnewbury), Tim (@cogarch) and someone from Backpacking in Europe (@backpackingineu) who all identified the city correctly.
This week’s city shows a part of the city that often does not make it into the tourist brochures and guidebooks because there are other monuments, statues, squares and buildings that receive far more attention.
