As expected the distorted photograph from last week generated a number of possibilities. Even in in its undistorted format it is easy to confuse the city with at least one other. The castle on the hill behind a city that has some Baroque buildings can easily be mistaken for Salzburg. This is particularly true as it is one of the iconic views of the Austrian city. Innsbruck was another city that the photograph was mis-identified as.
The red coloured building and the castle on the hill, which has a different outline to the one in Salzburg, provide the clues as to the identity of the city. The city is the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.
Only two readers correctly identified the city as Ljubljana. Congratulations to Tim (@timofnewbury) and Richard (@RField75).
This week’s twisted photograph is another cityscape with a couple of unique identifying clues. Hopefully it will not be mis-identified to easily this week.
