Answer to edition 705
This should have been a fairly easy city to identify as the convention centre in the bottom right quadrant (around about the 5 o’clock mark) has the name of the city visible, just. You would probably have to zoom in but it is there. The most prominent building on the skyline is clearly identifiable as the Deloitte Building but as it is a recent addition it may well have thrown a few people. The river is the Torrens and the city is Adelaide, Australia.
As no one got the right answer with only 24 hours to go I posted clues and another distorted photograph on X to help people identify the city. The distorted photograph featured the very distinctive Palm House in the Adelaide Botanical Gardens.

Last week's winners
Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (705) as the Australian city of Adelaide: Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) Atul (@pixodentist) and Rebecca (@rebhalp).
Well done everyone.
This week's "Where in the World..."
Unlike last week’s modern skyline this week’s “Where in the World…” features a much more historic skyline with a couple of very prominent clues. Good luck.
