Answer to edition 691
The style of architecture would suggest one of the great cathedrals of Europe. That’s a lot of cathedrals. A good few readers went for Cologne presumably for the two spires at the western end of the cathedral. However, the unique style of the lantern tower would suggest it is not The Dom of Cologne. The intricate facade of the western end flanked by the two spires and made famous by the Impressionist Claude Monet’s Rouen Cathedral Series is another big clue. A little research reveals it to be Rouen Cathedral, in the city of the same name.

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (691) as Rouen: Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) and further congratulations to Tim (@timof newbury) and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) who both identified Where in the World (690) as Bruges.
Well done.

The city skyline faintly visible through the luxuriant growth of its Botanical Gardens is better known for more iconic views. However, the TV tower is identifiable and from that it should be easy to discover which city has such a luxuriant botanic garden. Good luck.
