Answer to edition 668
There was very little to go on in last week’s “Where in the World…” but the architectural style would suggest somewhere in the Far East, probably China. You might have recognised that it was a shrine, house or temple resting on top of a bridge. You can find such a bridge in several cities but this one is found in Fenghuang Old City in the Huanan province of China. It is also known as Phoenix Ancient City as that is what Fenghuang translates as. I will accept both.

This city skyline is a little less challenging to identify. The building that looks remarkably like a taseris probably your best clue to identifying the city. There are other identifiable buildings that should help too. Good luck.
