Answer to edition 632
The prominent structure is unique in the world and represents a spinnaker. This would indicate that the city is probably one with a maritime history. This narrows down the possible identity quite considerably. There is a spinnaker shape building in Dubai but that is a luxury hotel. This structure definitely does not have guest rooms. You will find the Spinnaker Tower, as it is known, in the naval city of Portsmouth, UK

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (632) as Portsmouth: Janette (@travchats), Dee (@DeeCornes), Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Rebecca (@rebhalp) and Atul (@pixodentist).
Well done everyone.
This week's "Where in the World..."
This week, being autumn, I went for a distorted image featuring the colours of the season. This is one of the less challenging images to identify as there are a number of clues to the cities identity. The city rarely makes it on to any list of “…cities to visit for autumn colour” but in my experience it should be. Good luck.
