10th Anniversary approaches
Next week “Where in the World…” celebrates its 10th anniversary. That’s 520 editions of the popular travel-related puzzle where you have to identify a city from a distorted image using the visual clues found in the twisted photograph.
To celebrate the occasion Edition 520 will be an opportunity to win a prize. So, save the date, post a reminder or use a sticky label so you don’t forget. You won’t want to miss out on such a special occasion.
Answer to edition 518
The most striking feature of the skyline is the building with the gap in the centre which is a luxury hotel. The flower like structures towards the centre of the distorted image are reminiscent of Singapore. Indeed it fooled some readers into identifying the city incorrectly.
Several readers thought the water was the entrance to Dubai Creek. Although they were wrong (it is the entrance to Dubai Marina) it did give them the identity of the city as Dubai.
For those who are interested, the viewpoint is from the Ferris wheel on the peninsula.

Last week's winners
Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (519) as Dubai, U.A.E.: Tim (@timofnewbury), Claudia (@crevilla_) and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys).
Well done everyone.
This week's "Where in the World..."
This week the distorted image is a little more challenging as it only shows part of an iconic building rather than a skyline or a complete building. Bear that in mind when you are trying to identify the city. Good luck.
