Answer to edition 502
Photographs of the memorial featured in last week’s “Where in the World…” are usually taken from the other side looking towards the viewpoint from where the photograph was taken.
Many world leaders stood on the other side on momentous occasions. Perhaps the most famous was President Kennedy who gave his Ich bin ein Berliner speech. It is the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin flanked by the US and French embassies.
