Answer to edition 485
Very few cities feature Egyptian obelisks outside of Egypt. This one, Obélisque de Louxor, is in the centre of Place de la Concorde. Also visible is the recognisable Tour Eiffel (aka. Eiffel Tower). All this identifies the city as the French capital, Paris.
