Answer to edition 478
If the distorted image from last week had featured the pyramids this city is famous for it would have been easy to identify it. However there were a few clues to help you along.
The circular building is a distinctive feature that may have helped along with a little research help from Google or Wikipedia.
Some opted to research SODIC, the letters on the top of one of the buildings (I have to admit that one escaped me). Others recognised the style of the river cruisers moored along the river as being Nile cruisers.
All the above point towards the city being Cairo.
