Answer to edition 474
There are several buildings of similar architectural style in several different cities. Although similar and in some cases difficult to tell apart in isolation they are all different. Built in what became known as the Stalinist Style, there are seven similar buildings in Moscow known as the Seven Sisters. As a gift to the Polish people the Soviets “gifted” a similar building which is now a landmark in the capital, Warsaw. The same happened in Bucharest, Romania.
All three cities were suggested as the identity of the distorted image from last week’s “Where in the World…”. So which of the three cities is it. The green dome is the clue. The city is Moscow and the building houses the state university.

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (474) as as Moscow: Beverley (@bevsackviller), Tim (@timofnewbury), Atul (@pixodentist), and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys).
This week's "Where in the World..."
This week the distorted image features a distinctive building in a city that was never on the top 10 global tourist hotspots and is even less visited now. It is however a city I would like to visit someday.
