Answer to edition 449
The biggest clue in last week’s “Where in the World…” is the sign itself. The name of the city is written clearly. The only problem might be that you need to know Russian or Ukrainian to read it. The date might give you a clue – it was what we in the UK refer to as a “new town”. In fact, it was built for the workers at the nearby nuclear power plant, Chernobyl. Nowadays it is a ghost town; no-one lives there. The city is Pripyat.

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (449) as Pripyat: Tim (@timofnewbury), Atul (@pixodentist), Beverley (@bevsackville), Claudia (@crevilla_) and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys).
This week's "Where in the World..."
This week’s “Where in the World…” is a challenge. It features part of a skyline of a modern city. In its distorted format, it is difficult to identify the features of what is a minimalist scene. Good luck
