Answer to edition 417
Sneaky! Ambiguous. Difficult. These were all comments I received for last week’s distorted image.
Although the Eiffel Tower was prominent in the photograph there were some who thought it was the replica in Las Vegas. The other buildings seemed to give credence to this point of view. However, there is a river present in the distorted image with cruise boats on it. As far as I know Vegas is in the desert and does not sit on a river with that kind of boat.
The distorted image is a completely different view of the French capitals most visit icon. Rarely do we come across the Eiffel Tower from this viewpoint. The river is the Seine and the city is, of course, Paris.

Last week's winners
Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (417) as Paris despite the unusual viewpoint: Atul (@pixodentist), Tim (@timofnewbury) and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys).
This week's "Where in the World..."
The distorted image for this week’s “Where in the World…” features one of the city’s iconic skylines. The harmonious architecture is the biggest clue to help with the identity of the city.
