Christmas posting of WITW
As Wednesday falls on Christmas Day this year I will be posting Where in the World (381) sometime on Christmas Eve, December 24th. The deadline for answers to Where in the World (380) will remain at 10:00am on December 25th. This means that you will have an extra 24 hours or so to identify WITW381 and something to do on Christmas Day.
I will publish the answer via Twitter and an addendum to the post Where in the World (381) on Boxing Day.
To summarise:
24th December – Posting WITW 381
25th December – Deadline for WITW 380
26th December – Posting answer and winners to WITW 380
Answer to Where in the World (379)
The sharp-eyed may have noticed the flags in the photograph and identified the country. Students of history and architecture may recognise that the fort is the style the Portuguese built. The architecture in the buildings also would indicate an Islamic or Arab nation. The city of Muscat is the city depicted.
This week's winners
Congratulations this week to Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Tim (@timofnewbury) and Beverley (@bevsackville) who all identified the city as Muscat in Oman.
Although the city is not mainstream this is the most common of the city view seen in photographs. Good luck with the identification
