Answer to edition 698
The style of architecture suggests the Mediterranean region; possibly the southern European coast. The fact that it is a walled city with a small harbour are further clues to the city’s identity. The city can be identified as Dubrovnik.

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (699) as the Croatian city of Dubrovnik: Paco (@Paco_Almanzor), Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Rebecca (@rebhalp) and Atul (@pixodentist).
Well done everyone.
This week's "Where in the World..."
It is fairly obvious that the distorted image this week is neither a skyline nor an iconic building. The first task therefore is to identify what it is. The second task is to identify where it can be found. Do that and you will have identified the city. Good luck.
