Answer to edition 688
There is definitely water involved last week’s distorted image and some of the buildings would suggest wharehouses. The style of architecture in the older building would suggest northern Europe. It is, in fact, a northern German port. It is the port city of Hamburg.
In just over week from my writing this I will be taking a cruise with MSC Cruises to Hamburg and several other northern European ports. These include, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge and Le Havre. I will post about my experiences of all 4 cities and the cruise itself some time on my return.

Last week's winners
Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (688) as Hamburg: Tim (@timofnewbury), Atul (@pixodentist), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) and Rebecca (@rebhalp).
Well done everyone.
This week's "Where in the World..."
This week we feature an unusual piece of aarchitecture that hardly needed distorting. Distorted it resembles one of those nautilus shells. Figuring out which city the building is in will be a challenge but once the structure is identified the city will be easy. Good luck
