Where in the World (659)

Answer to edition 658

Around the world there are a number of cities where buildings have been left in a ruined but stable state as reminders of the horrors of war. This very distinctive building has been left as it was as a peace memorial and a reminder of the destructive power of nuclear armaments. It survived the first atomic bomb used in war while the city around it was flattened. It is the Hiroshima Peace Memorial found in the city of the same name.

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (658) as Hiroshima: Dee (@DeeCornes), Elizabeth (@ElizaBCullen), Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Atul (@pixodentist) and Rebecca (@rebhalp).

Well done everyone.

This week's "Where in the World..."

This week’s twisted skyline has a familiar feel to it having appeared here from a different angle. The three very distinct tall buildings are unique to the city and are therefore the best clue to its identity.  Good luck.
