The three cantilevered buildings are built on the city’s riverbank. Known as the Kranhaus (or Crane Houses) they are built in what was the river port and are designed to represent the cranes that use to work along the riverbank. If you recognised them you would know they grace the banks of the Rhine as it passes through the city of Cologne

This week’s distorted image is of a building that has made a previous appearance in “Where in the World…” but in daylight and an aerial shot. The uniqueness of the dome is perhaps the best clue to the city’s identity. Good luck.
