Answer to edition 594 & 595
The prominent TV tower in Where in the World (594) that looks like a giant microphone is perhaps the biggest clue to the identity of the city. Other buildings help confirm that the city is Anakara, Turkey.
In the second distorted image it is the prominent citadel, Castle Sant’Elmo, on the hilltop that is the best clue. The style of architecture is another more general clue as well as the fact that the ship indicates it is a port. The city is Naples, Italy.
Last week's winners
Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (594 & 595) as Ankara and Naples: Dee (@deecornes), Bojan (@FunnyYummyWorld), Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Rebecca (@rebhalp) and Atul (@pixodentist).
Well done everyone.
This week's "Where in the World..."
Another city skyline this week. There are two or three distinctive buildings or structures to help you identify the city. The background may help. Good luck.
An extra clue
Challenged by this week’s “Where in the World…”? You are not the only one; nobody has identified the city so here is a further clue.
The two buildings are part of a cultural and media centre built on floating islands. They are the largest in the world and are a major attraction in the city where they float.
I hope this helps you identify the city.
