Where in the World (571)

Answer to edition 570

Last week’s “Where in the World…” proved very challenging and was one of the rare occasions I had to post a further clue. The script and the style of architecture suggest that the city is in China. If you can read Chinese then the sign above the gate probably will give you a further clue. In the event, the best course of action is to use Google and look for similar photos.

Beijing, Xi’an and Huangshan City were all guesses but the city of Huizhou is the correct answer.

Last week's winners

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (570) as Huizhou, China: Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) and Atul (@pixodentist).

Well done to everyone who gave it ago.

This week's "Where in the World..."

This skyline is often depicted on banking brochures. It is the buildings that will be the biggest help and it should be a lot less challenging than last week’s “Where in the World…)

Good luck
