The striped walls of the cathedral are reminiscent of Florence’s magnificent cathedral. Along with the style of the houses this would suggest the city is somewhere in Tuscany. Some extra research identifies the cathedral as Siena Cathedral and hence the city is identified as the Tuscan city of Siena
