Answer to edition 550

Last week’s “Where in the World…” featured two of the world’s most easily recognisable and iconic structures in one frame making this a much easier city to identify than last week’s challenge. These are the Opera House and Harbour Bridge of the Australian city of Sydney.

In addition to just providing the answer to each week’s challenge, I will add further value with a few paragraphs about the city from the previous week’s “Where in the World…”

About Sydney

Sydney is one of the largest and most vibrant cities in Australia, situated on the southeastern coast of the country. It is a with a bustling urban core and stunning natural beauty surrounds. Sydney is known for its iconic landmarks, stunning beaches, multicultural communities, and thriving arts and culture scene.

One of the most famous landmarks in Sydney is the Opera House, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This stunning building is an architectural masterpiece that attracts millions of visitors each year. The Harbour Bridge, also known as the “Coathanger,” is another iconic structure that offers breathtaking views of the city and the harbour.

Sydney is also famous for its beaches, including Bondi Beach, which is one of the most popular beaches in the country. It is a hub for surfers and beachgoers and offers a lively atmosphere all year round. Manly Beach, located in the northern suburbs of Sydney, is another popular destination for tourists and locals.

This is reflected in the city’s food scene, which offers a wide range of cuisines from around the globe. The city is also known for its nightlife, with a variety of bars, clubs, and live music venues to choose from.

Sydney is famous for its harbour, which is considered one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world. The harbour is home to many famous landmarks, including the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Royal Botanic Gardens. Visitors can take a boat tour to explore the harbour, which provides a unique perspective of the city.
