Answer to edition 544
This is a city view that is often mistaken for other cities. Istanbul and Paris were common errors this week. The tower is often mistaken for the Eiffel Tower and the architecture of the floodlit building on the skyline is often mistaken for something from the Levant.
The building on the skyline is the Basilica de Notre Dame de Fourviere and the building close to the river is Palais de Justice Historique. The tower is not the Eiffel Tower but is known locally as the Metallic Tower of Fourviere. All three can be found in the French city of Lyon.

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (544) as Lyon, the gastronomic capital of France: Tim (@timofnewbury), Claudia (@crevilla_) and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys).
This week's "Where in the World..."
This week features an iconic building that is an integral part of the city’s skyline. It can be seen from almost every direction as you approach the city. Identify the building and you will identify the city.
Good luck.
