Where in the World (539)

Answer to edition 538

Before giving the answer, I wish all my readers who enjoy this weekly puzzle a happy and prosperous 2023.

The tall building would easily feature in tall buildings of the world due to its unique, slightly twisted appearance. It is known as the Canton Tower and its twist and lattice-like structure make it easy to identify. Along with the other two tall buildings the river and the bridges, it identifies the city as Guangzhou in China.

Last week's winners

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (538) as Guangzhou: Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) and Claudia (@crevilla_).

As last week’s “Where in the World…” was pre-scheduled the list of winners was not complete. Claudia (@crevilla_) also identified the city as Taipei.

Well done everyone.

This week's "Where in the World..."

Although not physically connected to the city to be identified it is always associated with the city. Indeed it is administrated by the city to be identified. Identify the structure and you should easily be able to identify the city.

Good luck
