Answer to edition 535
I would be interested to know how our winners identified the city where this building stands as there is little in the way of clues. The flags don’t help much and no motto is written on the building.
The neo-Baroque style and symmetry of the building hint at European heritage (for example The Reichstag, Berlin) and is also a popular style in North America, especially Canada. A quick bit of research reveals that the building is the Legislative Building of British Columbia and can be found in Victoria, the province’s capital.
Last week's winners
Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (536) as Victoria, British Columbia: Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Rebecca (@rebhalp) and Atul (@pixodentist).
Well done everyone.
This week's "Where in the World..."
It should be less challenging to identify and place this building than it was for last week’s “Where in the World…” The style of architecture should give a clue to the region and a little research, if you do not recognise it, will help with identifying the city.
