Where in the World (507)

Answer to edition 506

The distorted photo from Where in the World (506) proved very challenging as there was little to distinguish the skyline. If you were standing on the far shore looking towards where the photographer is the city would be instantly recognisable.

A lot of research reveals that the white skyscraper to the left is the Peninsula Hotel – a classic luxury hotel of yesteryear. I posted a hint to help people in the identification process that the city had a harbour and a peak named after a British queen. They were Victoria Peak and Victoria Harbour. Both of which, along with The Peninsula can be found in Hong Kong.

For those interested the photographer’s viewpoint is the International Financial Centre.

Last week's winners

Congratulations to the two who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (506) Hong Kong: Tim (@timofnewbury), and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys).

Well done.

This week's "Where in the World..."

Not a skyline this week but a single building from the skyline of the city to be identified. There are a few clues to aid in the identification of the building and the city. Good luck
