Are you new to this weekly puzzle? Or, are you a season veteran who has been identifying the distorted cities since the inception of “Where in the World…?” Do you enjoy identifying the distorted cities?
Now there is an e-book of 50 “Where in the World…” puzzles. In the book are distorted images of cities around the world that you have to identify from the visual clues. At the rear of the book all the images appear in their undistorted format alongside the answer.

Answer to edition 494
It is not an immediately recognisable building and could be mistaken for a number of theatres or opera houses in Europe because of its circular construction.
However above the archway and below the quadriga is the name of the building, Politeama Garibaldi. That should indicate which country it is situated in. Typing the name in to Google or some other search engine will reveal that it is in Palermo, Sicily.

In this week’s “Where in the World…” there is another single iconic building. It is well-known and often associated with the city to be identified.
Identifying the building should be easy as there is an obvious clue. That in itself is a clue to the city. Good luck
