Answer to edition 482
The building in the distorted image from last week’s “Where in the World…” and the complex where it stands is synonymous with perhaps the worst political scandal in the country’s history.
It is the Watergate Hotel and the complex of the same name. Richard Nixon was forced to resign as President as a result of the scandal. The city where it stands is the centre of political power in the United States of America, Washington DC
Last week's winners
Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (482) as Washington DC: Tim (@timofnewbury), Todd (@toddunctious), Claudia (@crevilla_), Beverley (@bevsackville) and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys).
This week's "Where in the World..."
In this week’s “Where in the World…” there are only two buildings to give you a clue. The rest of the city’s skyline is hidden in low lying clouds.
This city has featured here before with the city skyline photographed from the same spot on a clear night. It is a popular spot to photograph the city. Good luck
