Where in the World (455)

Answer to edition 454

Where in the World (454) proved very challenging. There were few clues and none of them iconic, stand-out structures that instantly identify a city.

The domed building was the best clue. The style of architecture is Portuguese colonial architecture although it could be mistaken for the Spanish style of the same era. That and the palm trees mean it is not a Northern European city. After that, it was a case of doing an image search for Portuguese colonial cities. You should eventually come up with the Brazilian city of Recife

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (452) as Recife: Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) who identified it without any additional clues and Tim (@timofnewbury).

This week's "Where in the World..."

This week’s “Where in the World…” is a lot less challenging and there are plenty of clues to its identity. As you can see it features a city skyline with plenty of identifying buildings. Good luck.
