Answer to edition 439
The twin gothic towers in Where in the World (438) of the cathedral are a major clue in identifying the city, .However it is usually photographed either from the bridge with yellow floodlights or from the railway bridge closer to the cathedral. The church lit in red is a minor clue but the two together confirm that the city is Cologne.

Congratulations to those who identified the distorted city from Where in the World (434) as Venice: Beverley (@bevsackville), Tim (@timofnewbury), someone from Cologne (@_colognelia_), Atul (@pixodentist) and Jackie (@jackiesjourneys). Also someone from Cologne (@_colognelia_) who should know the city.
This week's "Where in the World..."
