Answer to edition 402
Although there a number of cities with preserved Roman amphitheatre there are probably none as grand as the Colosseum which is the identity of the one in the distorted image. The city is therefore Rome.

This week's "Where in the World..."
This week the distorted image features an iconic building from the city to be identified. It is usually photographed from a different angle to the one used here but I prefer this view. It also presents a slightly more difficult challenge. Identify the building and you will find the city easy to identify.
