Where in the World (372)

Where the photograph is taken from is usually the subject of one of the iconic views of the city. The observant will have noticed in the far distance the other icon of the city, Christ the Redeemer. The city is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Congratulations this week to Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Tim (@timofnewbury), Dave (@travelling_dave), Atul (@pixodentist) and Beverley (@bevsackville) who all identified the city as Rio de Janeiro.

This week’s distorted image is of a building that is an important spiritual site for one of the world’s major religions. Identifying the building will give you a clue to identifying the city.
