If you could not identify the waterfront in the twisted photograph from last week then the mountain forming the backdrop is very recognisable. It’s distinctive shape, often covered with a tablecloth of cloud, identifies it as Table Mountain. In turn it identifies the city as Cape Town.
Compared with last week there were a fair number of correct answers. All the following correctly identified the city as Cape Town: Andrew (@SplashDSM), Atul (@pixodentist), Jon (@SparksJon), Tim (@timofnewbury) and Richard (@RField75). Congratulations to all of you.
This week’s distorted photograph is a very colourful one and is probably the second most photographed scene of this city. However, it is easy to confuse it with other cities that have equally colourful scenes.
As “Where in the World…” moves in to its second century can you identify this week’s city? You can leave your answer in the comments below or on my Twitter feed (@lethers) with the hashtag #WITW101. If we mutually follow each other on Twitter then you could send me a direct message with your answer, not forgetting the hashtag #WITW101. You can also leave your answer under the post referring to this on the Travel Unpacked Facebook page (please like the page while you are there). Alternatively you can also click the contact tab above and send me an e-mail with the answer. Good luck.
